The winery is located in the municipality of Gols (Untere Hauptstraße 49) in the Burgenland wine-growing region of Neusiedlersee (Austria). The foundation stone was laid centuries ago by the ancestors of the traditional winegrowing family. The winery has been run by Anita and Hans "John" Nittnaus since 1985.

Vineyards & grape varieties

The vineyards cover a total of 22 hectares, of which 7 hectares are in Gols in the Neusiedlersee wine-growing region and 15 hectares in the Leithaberg wine-growing region, mostly in the municipality of Jois. The vineyards are Altenberg, Bergschmallister, Freudhofer, Gritschenberg, Jungenberg, Lange Ohn, Tannenberg and Ungerberg. They are 80% planted with the red wine varieties Blaufränkisch (the dominant leading variety), Zweigelt and Merlot, and 20% with the white wine varieties Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling and Furmint.
