Along with Altenberg, Herrenberg, Kapellenberg, Kirchberg, Klosterberg and Sonnenberg, this is one of the most common single-vineyard designations in Germany. It occurs around 45 times in 10 of the 13 growing regions.

Birkweiler/Arzheim/Siebeldingen - Palatinate (Southern Wine Route)

During the land consolidation in 1971, the formerly small original site was considerably expanded. The northwest-facing vineyards at 125 to 230 metres above sea level with a slope of up to 15% cover 35 hectares of vineyards on clay and limestone marl soils.
