New Hampshire

The state in the north-east of the USA with the capital Concord covers around 24,216 km². It borders the Canadian province of Québec to the north, Maine and the Atlantic Ocean to the east, Massachusetts to the south and Vermont to the west. New Hampshire is one of the six states of what is known as New England. It was admitted to the United States in 1788 as the 9th state and is one of the 13 founding states.

History

The early European settlements were established along the Connecticut River and the coast (Seacoast). Viticulture remained limited for a long time due to the cool climate and only began in the 1990s.
