Neudorf Vineyards

The New Zealand winery in the Nelson area (South Island) was founded in 1978 by Tim and Judy Finn. It was named after a small village founded by German settlers in 1842. The 40 hectares of vineyards are planted with Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc. The winery belongs to the elite of boutique wineries in New Zealand. The Burgundy style Chardonnay Moutere and Pinot Noir Moutere, as well as Riesling Brightwater and Sauvignon Blanc Nelson are among New Zealand's top products. The Chardonnay Nelson was served at the premiere of the film "Lord of the Rings" (Return of the King) in Wellington in 2003. Tim Finn was voted "Winemaker of the Year" by Australia's largest wine magazine "Winestate Magazine" in 2003.
