Neretto Nostrano

The red grape variety comes from Italy. Synonyms are Freisa Blu, Nebbiulìn, Nerét dal Busc Bianc, Nerét di Romano, Nerét 'd Rean, Nerét Gentil, Neretto della Valchiusella, Neretto di Romano. The parentage (parenthood) is unknown. In spite of apparently indicative synonyms or morphological similarities, it must not be confused with the varieties Freisa, Neret di Saint-Vincent, Neretta Cuneese, Neretto di Bairo, Neretto Duro or Neretto Gentile (see also Neretto). The variety is mainly cultivated in the area of Canavese (Torino) in Piedmont, as well as in the Aosta Valley. In 2016, however, no stocks were reported (statistics Kym Anderson).
