The winery is located in the municipality of Bermersheim (Wonnegau area) near Worms in the German wine-growing region of Rheinhessen. The farm, which is run as a mixed agricultural enterprise with a focus on viticulture, is managed by Dirk Emmich. The vineyards cover 20 hectares of vines in the single vineyard sites Hasenlauf and Seilgarten (Bermersheim), Hundskopf and Schloss Hammerstein (Albig), Burg Rodenstein (Dalsheim), and Rotenstein (Westhofen). They are planted with the white wine varieties Müller-Thurgau, Riesling, Silvaner, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Siegerrebe, and with the red wine varieties St. Laurent, Portugieser, Pinot Noir, Dornfelder and Frühburgunder. The red wines are matured in large wooden barrels, the white wines in steel tanks. Half of the production is bottled and the other half is sold as cask wine. The winery is a member of the Message in a Bottle winegrowers' association.

Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
