The red grape variety is an interspecific new breeding between Riesling x Vitis cinerea Engelmann var. Cin erea. It contains genes from Vitis cinerea and Vitis vinifera. The hybrid was crossed in Germany by the breeder Naumburg. The vine, mainly used as rootstock, is characterized by a perfect resistance (resistance) to phylloxera. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
