The red grape variety is a complex new breeding between Cabernet Sauvignon and other four Vitis vinifera varieties. The crossing was done in 2000 at the CSIRO Institute in Merbein-Australia. The plant variety protection or release for cultivation was granted in 2017. The vine is resistant to hot climatic conditions. It produces dark-coloured, fruity and rather alcohol-light red wines with soft tannins and aromas of blackberries and chocolate. The variety is under experimental cultivation at the Brown Brothers Winery (Milawa in the King Valley, Victoria).
For my many years of work as an editor with a wine and culinary focus, I always like to inform myself about special questions at Wine lexicon. Spontaneous reading and following links often leads to exciting discoveries in the wide world of wine.
