The winery is located in the municipality of Landau-Godramstein (Südliche Weinstraße area) in the German wine-growing region of Pfalz. Jakob Kessler acquired one of the vineyards on the Münzberg, which gives the estate its name, as early as the end of the 19th century. In 1974, his grandson Lothar Kessler moved the family estate with its residential house and farm buildings to the Münzberg in the middle of the vineyards. His sons Rainer and Gunter Kessler continue the family tradition today as cellar masters. The vineyards cover 17 hectares in the single vineyard Münzberg. They are planted with the white wine varieties Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Silvaner, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Müller-Thurgau and Gewürztraminer, as well as with the red wine varieties Pinot Noir and Dornfelder.

Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
