The winery with its headquarters in Rohrendorf was founded in 1986, when the Rohrendorf property of Lenz Moser AG was separated and an independent winery was established. Josef "Sepp" Moser (1929-2021), son of the high culture inventor and winegrowing pioneer Lenz Moser III. (1905-1978) and twin brother of Lenz Moser IV, handed over the management of the winery to son Nikolaus (Niki) in 2000. The business comprises two wineries in two different provinces. The main estate is located in the municipality of Rohrendorf in Lower Austria, the second winery is in the municipality of Apetlon in Burgenland. After several years of trials, all the vineyards were converted to biodynamic cultivation in 2006 according to the guidelines of the DEMETER organic association.
