Moscatel Roxo

Grape variety

This white grape variety with reddish berries is a new cross between Ferral Roxo x Muscat d'Hamburg. The cross was made in Portugal by José Leão Ferreira de Almeida. The variety is used as table grape.

Wine type

Special wine type from the Portuguese DOC area Setúbal, which was pressed from at least 85% of the variety Moscatel de Setúbal (Muscat d'Alexandrie). Alternatively, the designation Moscatel de Setúbal is also permitted.
