The red grape variety (also Moore's Early) is an open-pollinated seedling of Concord. It contains genes from Vitis labrusca and Vitis vinifera. It was selected in the USA in 1871 by the breeder J. B. Moore. The early ripening variety is mainly used as a table grape.No stock was reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
