It covers 18 hectares of vineyards in the municipalities of Azzano Mella, Borgosatollo, Capriano del Colle, Castenedolo, Flero and Poncarale in the province of Brescia. Grape varieties authorised in the region may be used. The main varieties are Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco (Pinot Blanc) and Trebbiano (Trebbiano Giallo, Trebbiano Toscano), as well as Barbera, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Marzemino and Merlot. Varietal wines must contain at least 85% of the variety in question, up to 15% may be other varieties. For the wines, a minimum alcohol content is prescribed differently for each wine type, but no ageing periods.
