Communal appellation in French Burgundy in the south-east of the large Côte Chalonnaise area on the border with the Mâconnais. It covers areas of the four communes of Buxy, Jully-lès-Buxy, Montagny-lès-Buxy and Saint-Vallerin. The vineyards cover around 480 hectares of vines, around half of which have the right to the Premier Cru designation. Only in the Montagny area may single vineyards also be indicated. It applies exclusively to white wines made from single-varietal Chardonnay.
