The white grape variety is a new breeding between Queen Victoria White (Chasselas) x Ahmeur Bou Ahmeur according to DNA analyses published in 2012. The Raisin de Calabre (Calabrisi Bianco), which was stated as the father variety in the breeding list, turned out to be wrong. The cross was made by the breeder János Mathiász (1838-1921), who gave the name on the occasion of the thousandth anniversary of Hungary. Synonyms are Ezeréves Magyarország Emléke (original Hungarian name), Ezerivesh, Letnica Madzarska, Milenium, Millenaire Hongrois, Millenium Grape, Pamatka, Pamiatka, Pamyat Tysyacheletiya Vengrii, Souvenir du Millenaire Hongrois and Tysyacheletie Vengrii. The variety is used in many European countries mainly as table grape, but is also used as wine grape. It was a crossing partner in the new varieties Queen Elisabeth and Red Millennium. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
