The winery is located in St. Peter in the municipality of Bolzano in the South Tyrol wine-growing region (Trentino-South Tyrol). The "Messnerhof" has been in family ownership for a century. It is also possible to rent a holiday apartment. As a previously pure grape producer, since 2003 the wines are vinified and marketed by the farm itself. The farm is managed by the owner Bernhard Pichler. The vineyards cover three hectares in the locations St. Peter, Missian and Gries. They are planted with the white wine varieties Sauvignon Blanc and Gewürztraminer, as well as with the red wine varieties Vernatsch(Schiava) with partly 85-year-old vines), Edelschwarze(Negrara Trentina), G'salzne, G'schlafne(Rossara Trentina?), Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Tempranillo and Syrah.
