The white grape variety is a new variety between Gewürztraminer x Gouais Blanc. It was crossed in 1986 by the breeder Hans-Peter Baumann in the municipality of Visp (Haut-Valais) in Switzerland. The medium to late maturing vine produces aromatic white wines with moderate acidity and aromas of lychee, roses and marzipan. It is cultivated exclusively by the Diroso Winery in the canton of Valais on 0.2 hectares.
