The appellation named after the village of the same name is located in central France in the Loire
wine region. The vineyards, with around 400 hectares of vines, are located in the municipality of Menetou-Salon and other surrounding nine villages. The varietal wines are similar to those from AC Sancerre
, which is located to the east. The white wines are made from Sauvignon Blanc, the red and rosé wines from Pinot Noir. Well-known producers are Domaine de Chatenoy, Domaine Gilbert and Domaine Henri Pellé.
