Producer description of "Weingut Markus Meier"

The winery is located in the municipality of Ulsenheim - Markt Nordheim (Steigerwald area) in the German wine-growing region of . It was founded in 1990 by the parents of the current owner by purchasing a small area of land as a hobby business and has now been fully run by Markus Meier since 2004. In 2012, the "Weinerlebnis" vinotheque was put into operation. Various events such as wine tastings, family celebrations and company events are organised here. The vineyards cover 15 hectares of vineyards in the single vineyard sites and (Sommerhausen), (Randersacker), Sonnenberg (Marktbreit), and Huttenberg (Ulsenheim). They are 80% planted with the white wine varieties Silvaner, Riesling, Pinot Blanc and Scheurebe, and 20% with the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Domina and Cabernet Sauvignon.
