The winery is located in the municipality of Neudegg in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region of Wagram. The family, which was first mentioned in 1709, is now in its tenth generation of winegrowers. A press house from the 17th century, an old barn from 1860 and the "Mehofer Collection" (old agricultural implements) bear witness to the traditional business. A wine tavern is attached. Karl Neudegger is considered a pioneer in organic viticulture, and the farm was certified organic as early as 1992. Since 2008, the farm has been run by Stephan and Katharina Mehofer.

The vineyards cover 18 hectares in the Riesmein and Wadenthal vineyards. They are 70% planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Roter Veltliner, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Welschriesling, Chardonnay, Muscat, Traminer, Neuburger, Sauvignon Blanc and Frühroter Veltliner, and 30% with the red wine varieties Zweigelt, Blauer Portugieser, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Blauburgunder and Blauburger. The vineyards are cultivated according to the guidelines of organic viticulture. This means, among other things, organic fertilisation, cover crop and pest control by means of confusion methods (pheromone traps) and thus protection of beneficial insects.
