Megastigmatrienon

One of the volatile aromatic substances in wine, which is responsible for the spicy smell or taste of a wine and is expressed by a typical dry-sweetish aroma of leather and tobacco. This is particularly common in the varieties Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Syrah.
