Producer description of "Weingut Mees"

The winery is located in the municipality of Bad Kreuznach in the district of Bosenheim in the German wine-growing region of . Founded in 1828, the winery has been run by Roland Mees (master winemaker) and Dagmar Mees (consultant for German wine) in the seventh generation of the family since 2003. Son Lukas successfully completed his training as a winemaker in 2013. The vineyards cover 14 hectares of vines in the single vineyard sites Paradies and Rosenberg (Bad Kreuznach). They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, Muskat-Ottonel, Sauvignon Blanc, Huxelrebe, Bacchus, Kanzlerrebe and Scheurebe, as well as with the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Dornfelder, Blauer Portugieser and Dunkelfelder.
