The traditional "Weingut Karl May - Liebenauer Hof" is located in the municipality of Osthofen (Wonnegau area) in the German wine-growing region of Rheinhessen. The Liebenauer Hof was first mentioned in a document in 1309. After the Napoleonic secularisation, it was acquired in 1815 by the ancestors of the current owner family. Today, the farm is run in the sixth generation by Karl and Irmgard May, who are supported by their children Carolin, Fritz and Peter. In 2010, the 300-year-old half-timbered house was renovated, a new barrique storage facility was put into operation and a vinotheque was completed. The vineyards cover 14 hectares of vineyards in the single vineyard sites Geyersberg (Bechtheim), as well as Goldberg and Liebenberg (Osthofen).
