Mavrud Varnenski

The red grape variety originates from Bulgaria. Synonyms are Corb, Gordan Negru, Izmirlik, Mavroudion, Mavrud de Varna, Mavrud di Varna, Mavrud Varnenskii, Negru Bulgarest, Negru Virtos Cu Flori Normale, Varenski Mavroud, Varenski Mavrud and Varenszki Mavrud. Nothing is known about the descent (parentage) or a genetic relationship to the variety Negru Virtos. It must not be confused with the Mavrud variety. No stock was reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
