Marocain Noir

The red grape variety originates from France. Synonyms are Ansley's Large Oval, Black Maroca, Black Morocco, Cibebe Blau, Espagnin Noir, Geißdutte, Horseforth's Seedling, Le Coeur, Marroquin, Morocco Black Muscadel, Prunela, Prunelard, Ribier, Ribier Gros and Ribier du Maroc. The parentage is unknown. It must not be confused with the varieties Black Morocco (synonym Marocain Noir) or Prunelard. The parentage is unknown. It is used as table grape. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
