The winery is located in the municipality of Göttlesbrunn in the Carnuntum wine-growing region of Lower Austria. It is run by Gerhard Markowitsch, who is considered one of the founders of the "red wine miracle" in this area. The vineyards cover 40 hectares of vines in the Aubühl, Kirchweingarten, Rosenberg and Schüttenberg vineyards. They are planted with 70 % Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch, Merlot and Pinot Noir red wine varieties and 30 % Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Grüner Veltliner white wine varieties. In addition, grapes from 40 hectares of vineyards are purchased from contract winegrowers who produce according to strictly controlled guidelines.
