The winery is located in the municipality of Göttlesbrunn in the Carnuntum wine-growing region of Lower Austria. It is run by Gerhard Markowitsch, who is considered one of the founders of the "red wine miracle" in this region. The vineyards cover 40 hectares of vines in the Aubühl, Kirchweingarten, Rosenberg and Schüttenberg vineyards. They are 70% planted with the red wine varieties Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch, Merlot and Pinot Noir, and 30% with the white wine varieties Chardonnay,Pinot Blanc and Grüner Veltliner. The vineyards are cultivated according to the rules of organic viticulture. In addition, grapes from 40 hectares of vineyards are purchased from contract winegrowers who work according to strictly controlled guidelines.
