A special concept or group of companies for the production and distribution of Italian wines with headquarters in Milan (such companies are called virtual wineries). Responsible chief oenologist is Francesco Zardini. The wines are vinified exclusively for Marchiopolo by the contracted winemakers/ wineries according to strict specifications. They are then delivered to the headquarters in Milan, where bottling, ageing and labelling take place. Currently there are contract partners in the regions of Puglia, Campania, Lombardy, Sicily and Veneto. The product range includes wines from the DOC/DOCG areas Franciacorta, Malvasia delle Lipari, Monreale (Perricone, Nero d'Avola) and Valpolicella (Amarone, Recioto), as well as many IGT wines.

In the past, you needed a wealth of encyclopaedias and specialist literature to keep up to date in your vinophile professional life. Today, Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one of my best helpers and can rightly be called the "bible of wine knowledge".
