Manzoni Rosa

This white grape variety is a new cross between Gewürztraminer x Trebbiano Toscano. Synonyms are IM 1.50, Incrocio Manzoni 1.50 and Manzoni 1.50. The cross was made by the Italian breeder Luigi Manzoni (1888-1968) in the 1920s at the viticultural institute of Conegliano in Veneto(Italy). The early to medium ripening, high-yielding vine with pink berries is resistant to fungal diseases. The variety is cultivated in the Veneto area of Conegliano. In 2016, 23 hectares of vines were reported (Kym Anderson statistics).
