This white grape variety is a new cross between Gewürztraminer x Trebbiano Toscano. Synonyms are IM 1.50, Incrocio Manzoni 1.50 and Manzoni 1.50. The cross was made by the Italian breeder Luigi Manzoni (1888-1968) in the 1920s at the viticultural institute of Conegliano in Veneto(Italy). The early to medium ripening, high-yielding vine with pink berries is resistant to fungal diseases. The variety is cultivated in the Veneto area of Conegliano. In 2016, 23 hectares of vines were reported (Kym Anderson statistics).

The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
