Malvasia Trigueira

The white grape variety (also known as Trigueira) with pink-coloured berries originates from Portugal. It is one of the many mostly unrelated varieties with the Malvasia part of the name (see there). According to DNA analyses carried out in 2020, it originates from a presumed natural cross between Naparo x Trousseau Noir. The variety is cultivated in the Beira Interior and Trás-os-Montes areas. In 2016, 12 hectares of vines were recorded (Kym Anderson).
