Malvasia Fina Roxa

The white grape variety originates from Portugal. Synonyms are Assario Roxo, Boal Roxo and Malvasia Roxa. It is one of the many varieties with the name part Malvasia. It is a somatic mutation with reddish berries of the white variety Malvasia Fina. The variety is grown in the Algarve and Trás-os-Montes areas. In 2016, 24 hectares of vines were reported with a decreasing trend (Kym Anderson statistics).
