Malvasia Babosa

The white grape variety originates from Portugal. Synonyms are Babosa and Babosa de Madere. According to DNA analyses carried out in 2020, it is a presumably natural cross between Hebén x Malvasija Dubrovačka (Malvasia di Lipari). It is one of the many varieties with the name part Malvasia. In 2016, two hectares of vines were designated under the name Babosa de Madere (Kym Anderson statistics).
