Malaga (grape variety)

A frequently used synonym for a large number of genetically different grape varieties. An independent variety with this name is also listed in the VIVC catalogue, where it is given as table grape. What the use of the name of the Spanish island refers to and any similarities are unknown:

Cinsaut - also Malaga Kék
Dabouki - also Malaga Bianca, Malaga Blanc, Malaga Blanc Perfection
Ellen Scott - new variety Armlong x Malaga (?)
Lambruschetto
Malaga Blanc - possibly identical with Teneron
Malvasía de Lanzarote - also Málaga
Muscat d'Alexandrie - also Malaga Blanc
Sauvignonasse (Friulano)
Sémillon - also Malaga Bianco
Teneron - also known as White Malaga
