Madeleine Céline

The red grape variety is a new variety between Madeleine Angevine x Précoce de Malingre according to DNA analyses published in 2007. Synonyms are Early Céline, Madeleine de Céline and Madlen Selin. The cross was made in France in 1880 by the private breeder Paul Giraud. It is used as a table grape in many countries. In 2016 no stocks were recorded (statistics Kym Anderson).
