Loureiro Tinto

The red grape variety originates from Spain. The ancestry (parentage) or whether there are genetic relationships with the white variety Loureiro (Loureiro Blanco) or Mencía (with synonym Loureiro Tinto) is not known. The variety is grown in Galicia in the Rías Baixas area. However, no stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
