The white grape variety is an interspecific new variety between Malvasia Bianca di Candia x (Seibel 5656 x Rayon d'Or). Synonyms or breeding numbers are BRS Lorena and CNPUV 127-31. It contains genes from Vitis aestivalis, Vitis rupestris and Vitis vinifera. The hybrids were crossed in 1986 at the EMBRAPA Institute in Brazil. The berries have a muscat tone. In 2016, 500 hectares of vines were reported (Kym Anderson statistics).
