The winery is located in the municipality of Montalcino (province of Siena) in the Italian region of Tuscany. The noble owner family Lisini-Clementi has lived here since the 16th century. The total estate covers 154 hectares of land, in the middle of which is an old farmhouse with a terracotta loggia dating back to 1300. The farm is the centre of the business with cellar facilities and modern offices. In the early 1700s, Captain Silvio Clementi lived in Montalcino in the Pecci Palace and bought several estates in Sant'Angelo in Colle. In 1846 the Clementi and Lisini families were joined by the marriage of Francesca Clementi to Lodovico Lisini. The Clementi properties were therefore joined by those of the Lisini family in Radda in the Chianti area. The grandson Lodovico Lisini inherited the properties in Montalcino and began to plant numerous vineyards. In 1950, daughter Elina Lisini took over the management of the company until her death in 2009. In 1967, Elina Lisini founded the Consorzio del Brunello di Montalcino together with 24 other companies and was its president for a while. Today, the company is run by Ludovica Lisini and her cousins Carlo and Lorenzo.
