The winery is located in the community of Landau-Wollmesheim (area Südliche Weinstraße) in the German wine-growing region Pfalz. It is managed by Bruno Leiner. The vineyards cover 19 hectares in the individual locations Mütterle (Wollmesheim), Kalmit (Ilbesheim) and Sonnenberg (Leinsweiler). They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling, Silvaner, Rivaner, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Scheurebe, Bacchus, Gewürztraminer and Sauvignon Blanc, as well as the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Pinot Noir, Dornfelder, Portugieser, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Dunkelfelder. The white wines are slowly fermented cool in steel tanks and matured in a fruity and fresh manner. The red wines mature after the classic maceration in steel tanks, large oak barrels or in barriques, depending on the type. Bottle-fermented sparkling wines, noble brandies and grape juice are also produced.
