The winery is located in the municipality of Donnerskirchen in the DAC area of Leithaberg in Burgenland (Austria). The family has been growing grapes for over 200 years. Today, the winery is run by Andreas and Gerda Liegenfeld. Attached is the wine tavern "Der Schemitz". In 2006, a new cellar was put into operation. The vineyards cover 25 hectares in the Bergweingarten, Hochauer, Hofsatz, Hopferberg and Leithaberg vineyards. They are 90% planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, and 10% with the red wine varieties Blaufränkisch and Cabernet Sauvignon. Premium wines are Grüner Veltliner Premium, Riesling Premium, Sauvignon Blanc Premium, Riesling Hochauer, Leithaberg Weiß Grüner Veltliner and Leithaberg Rot Blaufränkisch. Around 100,000 bottles of wine are produced annually. The winery is a member of the winegrowers' association "Weinquartett Donnerskirchen".
