Lexington

The red grape variety is an open-pollinated seedling of Concord. It contains genes from Vitis labrusca and Vitis vinifera. It was selected in the USA by the private breeder T. B. Miner. It was named after Lexington Street in the town of Concord , Massachusetts, where the farmhouse of Ephraim Wales Bull (1806-1895), the "father of the Concord vine", was located. The variety is used as table grape. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
