The winery is located in the community of Hainfeld (area Südliche Weinstraße) in the German wine region Pfalz. The family history goes back to the year 1538. An estate restaurant "Landhaus Herrenberg" is attached. The business is managed by Stefan and Jürgen Lergenmüller. The vineyards cover about 85 hectares of vineyards with over 300 individual plots of land over a length of ten kilometres along the wine route from Godramstein to Rhodt. They are planted with the red wine varieties Spätburgunder, Dornfelder, Portugieser, Merlot, St. Laurent and Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as the white wine varieties Grauburgunder, Riesling, Weißburgunder, Gewürztraminer, Müller-Thurgau, Scheurebe, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Silvaner, Kerner and Muskateller. Only healthy, fully ripe grapes are fermented at a controlled temperature after gentle pressing.
