Leopold III

The red grape variety (also Royal) is a descendant (mutation) of the Alphonse Lavallée variety. It was named after the Belgian King Leopold III. (1901-1983). The vine is mainly grown in Belgium as table grape in glasshouses. No stock was reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
