Lenz Moser Family

The Moser family is one of the most traditional winegrowing families in Austria; the family history dates back to the 12th century. The ancestral home is located in Rohrendorf near Krems. Several family members have earned special merits in viticulture. Particularly noteworthy is Prof. Dr. h.c. Laurenz Moser III (1905-1978), the founder of the high culture form of education, which is also called "Moser culture" as a tribute to him. After a chequered history, three wineries have emerged from the former family winery:

Laurenz V. - Grüner Veltliner from Kamptal, Kremstal, Weinviertel
Lenz Moser AG - parent winery in Rohrendorf (with the family history)
Moser Sepp (Nikolaus Moser) - wineries in Rohrendorf (Lower Austria) and Apetlon (Burgenland)
