The winery is located in the municipality of Gols in the DAC area of Neusiedlersee (Austria). The family business was taken over by Matthias and Melitta Leitner in 1975. The reorientation towards quality and bottling began in the early 1980s. In 2003 son Gernot joined the company. The vineyards comprise eleven hectares of vines in the Golser vineyards Altenberg, Salzberg, Satz, Schafleiten and Ungerberg. They are planted to about 80% with the red wine varieties Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt, Blauburgunder, St. Laurent, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, and 20% with the white wine varieties Pinot Blanc, Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc. The cultivation is environmentally friendly and close to nature. The objective is to produce wines of the highest quality, full of character and with a strong emphasis on the terroir. Premium wines are Pannobile rot (Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt), Ungerberg Blaufränkisch, Ungerberg Merlot, Pannobile Pinot Blanc Salzberg and the red wine cuvée "Zechun" (Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch, Pinot Noir), named after an old village. Around 70,000 bottles of wine are produced annually. The winery is a member of the Pannobile wine growers' association.
