Leininger Walter

The winery is located in the municipality of Eibelstadt (Maindreieck area) in the German Franconian wine growing region. The traditional family business has been engaged in viticulture since the 17th century, the family coat of arms even dates back to 1594. In 1994 a new cellar for wine, barrels and storage was put into operation. Today, the business is managed by Ernst-Dieter Kilian, with Dirk Engelmann as administrator. The vineyards comprise seven hectares of vineyards in the individual sites Mönchsleite with 60% of the area and Kapellenberg (Eibelstadt). They are planted with the white wine varieties Silvaner (30%), Müller-Thurgau, Bacchus, Scheurebe, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Kerner, Traminer, Rieslaner and Albalonga, as well as the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Dornfelder, Regent and Domina and the three red PIWI varieties (fungus-resistant) Baron, Cabernet Cortis and Prior
