The winery "Paul und Gertrude Lehrner" is located in the community of Horitschon in the Austrian DAC area of Central Burgenland. In 2001 the traditional family business was taken over by Paul Lehrner junior. The vineyards comprise 26 hectares of vineyards in the Dürrau, Gfanger and Hochäcker areas. They are 97% planted with the red wine varieties Blaufränkisch (14 hectares), Zweigelt,Pinot Noir, St. Laurent, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Roesler, the rest planted with the white wine variety Chardonnay. The wines are traditionally aged in large oak barrels (2,500 litres) or in barriques. The flagship is the red wine cuvée "Paulus", which is blended from Blaufränkisch, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Other premium wines are "Claus" (100% Zweigelt), as well as "Blaufränkisch Steineiche" and "Blaufränkisch Hochäcker". About 110,000 bottles of wine are produced annually. Grape seed oil and a marc spirit are also produced.
