The company was founded in 2005. The owners are Dieter Hübler (marketing and sales) and Peter Schweiger (oenologist). The winery is located in the municipality of Zöbing in Kamptal (Lower Austria), the sales office is in Wien. The declared goal of LAURENZ V. is to establish Austria's parade grape variety Grüner Veltliner internationally among the best white wines in the world.

Grapes from a total of 80 hectares of vineyards in the three Lower Austrian wine-growing regions of Kamptal, Kremstal and Weinviertel are processed. From this, five different wines are produced exclusively from the Grüner Veltliner variety. The flagship of the house "Charming"(Kamptal DAC Reserve), the second wine is called "Friendly" (Kamptal DAC). Two wines for everyday drinking fun are "Singing" and "Forbidden" (each with grapes from the three wine-growing regions of Kamptal, Kremstal and Weinviertel with the Lower Austria origin levy). The fifth wine "Four" with grapes from the Zöbinger Gaisberg is only produced in small quantities in very good years. Around 90% of the production is exported worldwide to 45 countries on all five continents.
