The winery is located in the municipality of Ayl on the Saar in the German Moselle wine-growing region. Attached to it is a hotel with restaurant, which operates under the name "Weinhotel Ayler Kupp". Florian Lauer is the fifth generation of the family to run the winery, which is rich in tradition. The vineyards cover eight hectares of vines, all of which are planted with Riesling. The main site, Ayler Kupp, can be divided into three characteristic areas, which are harvested and vinified separately. The wines are named after the Unterstenberg, Kern, Neuenberg and Stirn plots, each of which has its own distinctive style. In the vineyard, special emphasis is placed on natural, environmentally friendly cultivation, as well as late and selective harvesting of physiologically ripe and healthy grapes.
The Wine lexicon helps me to keep up to date and refresh my knowledge. Thank you for this Lexicon that will never end in terms of topicality! That's what makes it so exciting to come back often.
