Late Red Redgipfler

Local, Austrian wine speciality from the famous wine village Gumpoldskirchen (near Vienna) in the wine-growing region Thermenregion in the province of Lower Austria. The cuvée is blended from the two white autochthonous grape varieties Rotgipfler (for alcohol content and volume) and Zierfandler (also "Spätroter", hence the first part of the name, for backbone and finesse). This powerful wine with a bouquet of asparagus is often produced in the Prädikatswein range and has an excellent storage life.
