Lapostole

The winery is located in Cunaco (Colchagua province) in Chile. It was founded in 1980 by Don José Rabat Gorchs, son of Catalan immigrants. In a joint venture with the Frenchwoman Alexandra Marnier-Lapostolle and her husband Cyril de Bournet, a state-of-the-art cellar was built in 1993. The French oenologist Michel Rolland was hired as consultant. Today the winery is fully owned by Marnier-Lapostolle. The vineyards cover a total of 370 hectares of vineyards in the areas (or Vineyards) Casablanca (Atalayas), Cachapoal (Las Curas) and Colchagua (Apalta).

They are stocked with the red wine varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Carmenère, Pinot Noir, Petit Verdot, Merlot and Syrah, and with the white wine varieties Chardonnay, Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc. The vineyard is 100% certified organic and biodynamic according to DEMETER. The product range includes the wines or the six lines Casa, Le Rosé, Canto de Apalta, Cuvée Alexandre, Borobo and Clos Apalta. Around 2.4 million bottles of wine are produced annually, the majority of which are exported to 60 countries worldwide.
