The winery is located in the municipality in the German wine-growing region of Baden. Wine was already grown here in Roman times. In 1995, the two brothers Peter and Jürgen Landmann took over the family business from their father Josef Landmann. Since 2013, Jürgen Landmann and his team have been the sole owners of the winery. In addition to viticulture, asparagus is also grown on 15 hectares. Holiday flats are also offered for rent.

The vineyards cover 29 hectares of vines in the single vineyards Kapellenberg (Munzingen), Steinmauer (Waltershofen), and Bühl (Merdingen). They are planted with the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, the main variety with 40% of the area, and Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as the white wine varieties Pinot Blanc, Rivaner (Müller-Thurgau), Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Riesling, Gewürztraminer and Bronner. Since 2007, the vineyards have been cultivated organically according to the certified rules of Bioland. Through selective hand-picking, only flawless grape material is processed.

The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
